I wish I could give this national park more than five stars. Definitely one of the most beautiful places I’ve been. We stayed in the campgrounds for four nights and everything was very nice and clean. The hikes are beautiful. The Narrows was my favorite of the few hikes we did. Very beautiful unique sights anywhere you turn.
We spent a day in the park.. walk in the narrows was an experience.. we did do some easy hikes with a 7 month old in a sling... Zion Lodge was a great stop to eat and get refresh.... The shuttle service connecting the stops was great... We had a great time and would love to go back again
Incredible park. The park has something for everyone. It can get extremely busy in May. You should plan on arriving early to get parking at the visitor center and to get in line for the park shuttle. Lines can look long but moves very quickly as the shuttles are large and come along often. It can get extremely hot. Make sure to bring sunblock, water, snacks and wear study shoes. My favorite hike was the Narrows. I strongly recommend a walking stick for this and sturdy water shoes. They can both be rented outside the park. The drive through the park was also amazing with stunning views. Roads were wide and not too steep anywhere. There is a dark small tunnel in one portion.
Outstanding, do not miss. Rise early to hike, 7:30-8:00 to avoid the crowds after 9:00 am. Late morning partake in the breakfast buffet, aside from excellent food the price is extremely reasonable. Take plenty of water or large water bottle. Go all the way to the end first for the Narrows. Rent water boots that have insulated liners. Be realistic about the distance. Next do Weeping Wall, short easy hike, then Hidden Canyon then back to the lodge for breakfast. The lodge is not spectacular architecture. Stop at the Patriarchs for view shots. Your not done yet but should get you started on your first day. L
Mixing fun with beauty. There are so many different types of hiking & experiencing the canyon. From a walk along the wheelchair accessible concrete path along the river to a difficult climb to the top of an overlook. Very picturesque. We enjoy our visits everytime we go. Highly recommended to all ages!
